Why It Matters

Value Proposition - The Problems We Believe U-ROC Leadership™ Impacts with Your Help!

  • Young People: Provide career pathways to those who are unclear about what they want to do, and who may lack resources to figure it out, while equipping them with the skills to be leaders of their lives.

  • Employers: Provide a pipeline to diverse talent that is mentally, emotionally and socially ready to excel in the workplace and lead

  • For Community: Leaders who know how to build trust, influence policy, and who are willing to get involved and do the right things for humanity

Kevin Nolan from Nolan Painting challenged me to think about what would be a “perfect” world for me in order to be clear about what impact I wanted my work to have on this world.  Maybe you will agree with me that my perfect world would be seeing more families making family mealtime and church a priority.  That there would be no more children going hungry or stuck in abusive homes in America.  That sex trafficking and gun violence, especially among our young people would be a thing of the past.  More organizations would be values driven rather than money driven and would realize that when you invest in people and treat them with dignity and respect, doing the right thing in the right way, that the money will come. I want to see the foundation of every human being’s behavior be to ignite trust with every person you encounter and to be the leader of your life.  That we would all have the courage and the confidence to stand and fight for what we believe is good for the many and not just the few.
How do we create or come close to this perfect world?  By investing in and equipping our young people with the skills and the mindset they need to be the next generation of transformational leaders, including of their own lives.  This is what U-ROC Leadership™ Ready to Work High School and Gap Year Programs can accomplish with your help.  Don’t believe us, listen to what was said at the first U-ROC Leadership™ Graduation Celebration.

There are too many young adults, ages 18-24, who have vast, untapped potential and undiscovered gifts to share with their families, communities, and the world.  Let’s close this gap between this diverse talent that exists and the opportunities that are out there.

Let's Equip Our Young People To Be The Next Generation Of Transformational Leaders!
